PETSMART ADOPTATHON
To the left, Piper sits demurely and oh-so-gracefully. And to the right, Hazel shows the stuffed animal's who's really in charge while Dexter looks on.
Actually, Dexter did have some interest but the UAF people running the event convinced the prospective family to choose another dog, sight unseen!
ReplyDeleteIts sounds like their may be a misunderstanding. Dexter probably was not a good match for the family. UAF tries its best to match dogs with potential adopters. Dexter will find his forever home soon.
ReplyDeleteYes it is correct there is a misunderstanding about what happened at Petsmart. There was a family who came to see Monterey. The husband had looked at her in the morning and went home to get his wife and kids. They have four very young children and two cats. They wanted to foster or adopt an easy dog since they have not had a dog for many years. Dexter was not a good match for them. He would do better in a home without cats (unless he can be tested to be cat safe) and little children. With the dedication of a couple of volunteers who love him, he will find his forever home also.
ReplyDeletesome dogs just seem to take longer to place,....Hazel has been at PAC for 3 months and she has gone to all the adoption events too...
ReplyDeleteThere is a family for Dexter and Hazel it just needs to be the right family. It's better to place the dogs with the right family than set the dogs up to fail.
